Would you like the perfect wood throwing tool with just the right shape to create your special cup, bowl, platter or vase? In this one-day workshop, 323CLAY owner, potter, teacher and artist David Lee, will share his toolmaking knowledge. Students in this class will design and cut custom shapes from a variety of exotic woods. They will have supervised access to equipment from David’s personal wood shop. The custom created wood tools will be shaped, sanded and oiled to perfection with David’s guidance. Students can choose to make custom ribs or special throwing sticks with a variety of angles, shapes and thicknesses. Think about what shape tool you need in your studio and join us in this hands-on workshop. Cost includes wood and supplies to make at least 2 tools.

There will be a one hour break. Bring a lunch or walk to lunch on the square.

David Lee is the co-owner of 323CLAY and The Bredin-Lee Gallery. He has a BA from Graceland University. David is known for his large platters, lidless teapots and wheel thrown musical horns.
